In Memory of

Linda Evelyan Pearce

Linda Geurin went to her Lord Jan. 24, 2010, surrounded by her family. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., with Pastor Mark Wible officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Linda was born July 19, 1942, to Walter J. Pearce and Norine Branch Pearce in Freeport, Texas. She lived in Waco most of her life. She graduated from Waco High School and spent most of her working years as a beautician. After retiring from hairdressing, Linda didn't stop. The last few years she gave of herself endlessly to care for her family and loved ones. Linda's life was dedicated to others. She loved her family and friends with the love only a true Christian could have. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who always put others first. All who got to enjoy meals, especially the holidays, at her home, know of her great food and the love that was all around her home. She and her husband were well known for their Christmas lights. It'll be missed by all.

God saw her weariness, felt her heartache, and knew she was tired. "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial, for when one withstands the test, they will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love Him." James 1:12

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Howard "Buddy" Geurin; and her father, Walter J. Pearce. She is survived by her children, Lance Geurin, Ricky Geurin, Randy Geurin and wife, Elizabeth, and Brenda Beckworth and husband, Steve; three grandchildren, Spc. Glenn Geurin, Sarah "Pumpkin" Beckworth, and Katie "Little Bit" Beckworth; mother, Norine Pearce; brother, Dennis Pearce and wife, Bea; sister, Jarene Higgins and husband, Rev. Milton Higgins; many nieces and nephews; and her canine friend, Andy.

Pallbearers will be Brian Castillo, Spc. Glenn Geurin, Lance Geurin, Ricky Geurin, Randy Geurin, Steve Beckworth.
